Pterodactyl => Pterobyte?

Once upon a time in a land far far away I was a member of syndicate that campaigned a race boat. In the fridged north of the Detroit River, Lake St. Clair and Lake Huron we raced for several years on an Evelyn 42. The name on this boat was Pterodactyl. It was mean, despite it’s nick name ‘tero duct tape’. It had an attitude. The Brandon De Broth foils made it really fly, it had a magic speed (6.5kts) that made the keel lift and just climb to weather.

I really like this boat.  I considered  moving it down to the Chesapeake Bay. Unfortunately Pterodactyl drew 8′ 6″ of water and it was impossible to keep it at FBYC in Jackson Creek so I resigned myself to something else. I was considering boats like the M30 and other high end newer sport boats when this summer, July 2008, I ran across an Evelyn 32-2 with a new set of sails and travel trailer. This was a project boat, race-able but it needed some cosmetic work and running rigging upgrades.

I fell for it.

The Evelyn 32-2 is smaller then Pterodactyl and is so much less intimidating. So:
